Discover the San Leonardo Heritage Walk, a unique project in Tuscany that blends history, nature, and community. Our mission is to transform 12 hectares of abandoned historic land—currently offered for sale by the University of Pisa—into a living memorial park where every tree carries a name, a story, and a legacy.
Section 1 – Why This Matters (H2):
Rooted in history since 1154, this land once hosted the San Leonardo Hospital, a medieval refuge for pilgrims and the poor. Today, we aim to revive its spirit of compassion and hospitality by creating a green sanctuary for remembrance, inclusion, and sustainable sports.
Section 2 – Our Vision (H2):
The San Leonardo Heritage Walk will feature native trees dedicated to loved ones, each geolocated and marked with a personalized plaque. The park will also host rowing activities for children and breast cancer survivors, fostering health, social connection, and resilience.
